Speedwolf Sportszervező Nonprofit Kft. organizes a slag engine Grand Prix qualifying competition with a high-quality field on Pentecost Monday at the Pál Perényi Stadium in Debrecen
For nine years, no similar large-scale competition has been held in Debrecen. Since 2019, the local government has supported the sport with a total of HUF 73 million, of which HUF 10 million this year.
Norbert Baráth, managing director of Speedwolf Sportszervező Nonprofit Kft. was pleased that they had enjoyed the support of the municipality as well as the companies from the very beginning, as the city has a significant tradition of slag motorsports, which is why they want to lure the audience back.
It took nine years to get the right to organize the competition, which will be the most prestigious event in the sport in Hungary and will also feature competitors who have already completed it here. The farthest motorcyclists will come from Australia, but Danes, Swedes, and Latvians will come from Europe, the high-chance Poles, French, Czechs, as well as a Ukrainians, and Norbert Magosi will be the only Hungarian.
The executives also said the show would start at 4 pm on Monday, with the gates opening as early as 1 pm.
Tickets are purchased online, free for children under the age of 14, and adult ticket prices start at HUF 4,000. As a hobbyist, those interested can watch the training for free from 10.30 in the morning.
Péter Szabó, the managing director of Schaeffler-FAG Magyarország Ipari Kft., Emphasized that it is an important social responsibility for them to support the sport, which is why they have stood behind the slag engine. They focus on technical sports, as their factory profile is close to that.
