This year’s Flower Carnival promises to be even greener and more flowery than ever and yes, there will also be a flower car dance parade from the 15th to the 21st of August.
“The carnival parade will begin at 9:00 a.m on August 20 this year when the flower carts will be accompanied by dancers and domestic cheerleaders from all over the world, all the way to Nagyerdei Boulevard.
This year, we expect even greater national interest, as the exciting, spectacular, and entertaining attractions and concerts of the week-long programs of the festival will contribute to the already vibrant summer atmosphere of Debrecen and the region.” – said Réka Mészáros, the managing director of Főnix Rendezvényszervező Közhasznú Nonprofit Kft.
Part of the one-week cavalcade of the Debrecen Flower Carnival can be visited free of charge, but there are also program elements related to tickets. It is possible to book a comfortable seat on the grandstands and stands on the parade line, from where there are uninterrupted views of dance and cheerleading groups, art productions, and flower carts – the Schaeffler and Kölcsey Center stands on Rózsa Street have already started selling tickets.
An indispensable element of the festival is the presentation of plants and flowers. For the time being, Réka Mészáros has told us so much about the novelties that the project called “Flower City” will be launched, with the aim of thriving in Debrecen: cooling points are placed in busy spaces.
The aim of the project is to create a greener, bustling urban oasis, an oasis in the city center, to which downtown cafes, restaurants, and shops are invited to join so that together the city can provide a full floral experience and an amazing, enticing atmosphere. for visitors coming here.
