The last meeting of the city assembly was held on June 23rd. Fees for several public services have been raised – including public transport tariffs by almost 10 percent – but raising parking fees was not on the agenda.
The Municipality of Debrecen has the right to transform the parking system, but it does not plan to increase fees in 2022.
The last time the parking tariffs and rules in Debrecen changed was in January 2020: several rental types were removed, the fee for the priority parking area, the fee for waiting in the underground garage was increased, and parking per zone was introduced instead of the previous uniform daily fee of HUF 1,700. In the city, the hourly parking fee is 340 forints in the more expensive area and 180 forints in the cheaper area.
