Every year comes the night when the animals play the main role! On the last Friday of August, between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., the country’s first rural zoo and only classic amusement park is now XI. holds the first major event of the main season, the Night of the Zoos, for the first time. The focus of this year’s theme is the rich natural and cultural world of Africa, which the general public will get a taste of in a unique summer evening program.
This magical evening is a great opportunity to gain an insight into the mysterious nightlife of the zoo’s residents by cozy torchlight. As part of the all-night Animals in action program, those interested can, among other things, follow the dinner of the crested giraffe family, spot the Siberian tigers during their foray, and meet and take photos with Chili, the blue-and-yellow macaw. The bravest will be treated to the Pálmáháza Test of Courage, where they can get to know and like animals, they may not have liked before, but also introduce the newest arrivals and newborns of the dynamically expanding collection, including Zsaklin, the one-month-old tapir girl and the two-week-old ring-tailed lemurs.
