Energy crisis: trams and trolleybuses run less often in Debrecen

In accordance with Debrecen’s efforts to save electricity, according to the plans, from January 1st, buses will replace all trolleybus routes, and on weekends, buses replacing trams will transport passengers on the entire section of tram lines 1 and 2.

During school holidays, tram line 2 operates on the section Doberdó utca-Kálvin tér-Doberdó utca. During the school period, on working days, the trams run in a full circle, DKV indicated.

Services affected by the schedule change: Tram 1 and Tram 2, 3, 3A45, 5A marked trolleybuses, next to 1214192323Y2525Y30, 30A34A35A35YA36A414243444547, 47Y buses.

Trams
The following time of trams 1 and 2 will be changed to 12-15 minutes instead of the previous 6-8 minutes on weekdays and outside peak hours, and to 15 minutes instead of the previous 8-10 minutes on public holidays.

TROLLEY BUSES
3,3A trolleybuses: Route 3 runs every 30 minutes instead of 15 during off-peak hours and public holidays. We would like to draw the attention of passengers to the fact that during peak periods, every second bus only runs between Segner tér and the Kassai út roundabout. Trolleybuses marked 3A will not run from November 14, 2022.

Trolleybus number 4: Trolleybuses number 4 run between Segner tér and the Dobozi housing estate every 30 minutes instead of 15 during peak periods.

Trolleybuses marked 5.5A: The buses marked 5 and 5A run every 30 minutes instead of the usual 15 minutes outside of peak periods and on public holidays.

We would like to draw the attention of passengers that they can also use buses 22, 22Y, 24 and 24Y in the city center and the Köztemető, Kassai út, Csapó utca section. Take route 19 between the city center and the Dobozi housing estate.

BUSES
The Company has 12, 14, 19, 23, 23Y, 25, 25Y, 30, 30A, 34A, 35A, 35YA, 36A, 41, 42 -, 43, 44, 45, 47 and 47Y modified the timetable. The changes mainly affect weekends and off-peak periods. In the case of route 43, the departure times were also changed during the morning peak period in accordance with travel needs.

Bus 19: From now on, bus 19 will transport passengers between Vincellér utca and Sámsoni út.

Józsa buses: On holidays and non-working days, the Józsa buses with signs 34R, 35R, 35YR and 36R run between the Józsa outer terminus and Doberdó utca. In addition, during the teaching period and on working days, instead of 36Y, bus 36R will operate with unchanged departure times.

The residents of Józsa can get to the city center by tram number 2, with lines 10, 10Y, 15, 15Y, 22 and 24.

Planned measures from the start of the operation on January 1, 2023

From January 1, 2023, further changes are planned to take effect.

Buses will run instead of all trolleybus routes, and on weekends, tram replacement buses will transport passengers on the entire section of tram lines 1 and 2. During school holidays, on working days, tram line 2 operates on the section Doberdó utca – Kálvin tér – Doberdó utca, and tram 1 runs in a complete circle (Nagyállómás – Egyetäme – Nagyállómás).

During the school term, the trams run in a full circle on working days.
