Exactly one week after the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Debrecen Zoo, on World Donkey Day, the zoo can report the good news that fits the occasion, because, on May 1st, our wild donkey Szamóca gave birth to another healthy offspring.
She was born in the morning in front of the lucky visitors. She was named Maja based on the name day of her birthday and in consideration of that day’s majális (an outdoor social event in May).
