The air quality has become dangerous in many parts of the country due to airborne dust, according to the data of the map published by the National Institute of Public Health and Pharmaceuticals (NCPHP) on Friday, which describes the previous day’s measurements.
The air hygiene index system includes four categories: acceptable, objectionable, unhealthy and dangerous.
According to NCPHP data, the air quality in the Sajó Valley is dangerous in Putno, Kazincbarcik, Sajószentpéter and Miskolc, as well as in Nyíregyháza and Kaposvár.
The air quality of Pécs, Szeged, Győr, Tatabánya and Hernádszurdok was classified as unhealthy.
According to the measurement data, the air quality in Sopron, Ajka, Várpalota, Székesfehérvár, Dunaújváros, Százhalombatta, Budapest, Kecskemét, Salgótarján and Debrecen is objectionable. The other measuring stations recorded acceptable values.
