The public procurement procedure for the redesign of the Balmazújvárosi–Füredi road and the Szabó Lőrinc Street–Csigekert Street intersection has been successful, leading to the renewal of another important road section in Debrecen.
The good news was shared by László Papp on his social media, and Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa also posted a photo of the crucial intersection, which often experiences traffic chaos in the city.
Currently, there are 2×1 lanes facilitating traffic from Csigekert Street towards Szabó Lőrinc and Füredi. In the future, separate lanes for left turns, right turns, and straight-through traffic will be created to enable faster passage, similar to other affected road sections – wrote Lajos Barcsa, expressing hope that this will prevent drivers from using smaller roads as shortcuts around the busy Debrecen intersection.
