Wizz Air will discontinue its Debrecen-Rome route in early October, and it will no longer be as flexible to reach London as before: instead of five flights per week, only three will depart to Luton from Debrecen during the winter season.
The airline announced in the summer that it would close its Debrecen base, but at the time, it was expected that the Rome and London winter flights would remain. However, we can now say goodbye to the Rome route for certain.
According to the airline’s schedule update, the last flight between Debrecen and the Italian capital will take place on October 5, after which only the London route will remain, as reported by airportal.hu. Even for the London flights, there has been a change, with the frequency reduced to three times per week from October 29, instead of the previous five.
The route to Larnaca, which used to operate even in winter, will have its last flight from Debrecen on October 25, while the Burgas flight will end on September 27.
