Harro Höfliger Hungary Kft., previously known as Manz, is celebrating its 20th anniversary of operations in Debrecen by launching a large-scale production expansion. With a focus on sustainability, the German-backed machinery manufacturing company will more than double both its workforce and production capacity, according to the Debrecen municipality.
The company, which has been producing in Debrecen since 2004, now generates an annual revenue of around 20 million euros. Employing over 220 people, the 20th anniversary marks a significant milestone: the company transitioned ownership from Manz to the German Harro Höfliger, which manufactures pharmaceutical and medical technology equipment. The company is now embarking on a major expansion in the industrial park on Határ Street. Next to its existing 4,500-square-meter hall, they are constructing a 9,000-square-meter facility, with production taking place on both levels—an exceptional feature.
At the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony, Juhász Csaba, managing director of Harro Höfliger Hungary Kft., stated that the goal is for the factory to become entirely carbon-neutral by 2035.
The new production hall is expected to be completed in one year, and as a result of the investment, the company’s production capacity will more than double.
