A motorist drove more than twice the speed limit near Debrecen. The police caught him.
On Monday afternoon, the speed of cars was measured on highway 471 near the city of Debrecen. A Mercedes set off from the afternoon rush hour in the direction of Hajdúsámson at a tremendous speed. The driver was traveling at 196 km/h instead of the speed limit of 90 km/h when he was photographed.
According to the police’s statement, speeding at this level is punishable by an administrative fine of HUF 468,000 and 8 penalty points.
