On November 16th, the 100 most beautiful Hungarian astrophotographs of the past year were showcased in the dome hall of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, marking the seventh year of this event.
The “Star Images 2024” National Astrophotography Exhibition, organized by the Hungarian Astrophotographers Association, presents 100 works by 66 astrophotographers. The comprehensive exhibition aims to bring together a collection of extremely high-quality photographs by Hungarian astrophotographers, many of which have received international recognition and awards this year.
Among the 66 creators is Zoltán Buczi, a member of the Hajdú County branch of the Vega Astronomy Association, who has two photographs among the 100 best astrophotographs of 2024. In addition to being a member of the Hajdú County branch of the Vega Astronomy Association, Zoltán Buczi also holds the position of deputy mayor of Nagyhegyes.
The exhibition categorizes the photographs depicting celestial phenomena into three categories:
- Astrolandscape: which collects images depicting the earth and the sky together
- Solar system: where celestial bodies of the solar system can be seen in pictures
- Deep sky: a category of images depicting the world of stars, nebulae, and galaxies
– announced the association.
