Many have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of winter in Debrecen, with the cold weather and the first snowfall. Now, the city is truly enchanted by the white blanket as huge snowflakes fall, creating a magical winter atmosphere.
On Friday, predominantly cloudy and overcast weather is expected, then from the afternoon hours, the cloud cover will quickly decrease from the northwest, and in the evening, only cloudier areas may remain in the eastern counties.
The precipitation zone will continue to move southeast, with some minor snowfall still possible, especially in the Northern Central Mountains and the northeast, but precipitation will cease in most places by the afternoon hours. The northwest wind will strengthen in a large area, with gusts of up to storm force possible around Sopron and the Bakony Mountains. The highest daytime temperature will be between 0 and 6 degrees Celsius.
On Saturday, mostly sunny weather is expected, with some cloudy periods in the morning, especially in the east, where occasional snow showers may also develop. The northwest and west wind may be accompanied by lively, sometimes strong gusts. The lowest nighttime temperature will be between minus 6 and 0 degrees Celsius, but it may be much colder in areas covered with snow. The peak value is likely to be between 0 and plus 7 degrees Celsius.
On Sunday, the sky will be sunny or partly cloudy in the south. Moving north, the cloud cover will become thicker in a larger area, and in the Northern Central Mountains region, there will be predominantly cloudy or overcast, humid areas, but the chance of significant precipitation is small.
The south and southwest winds will freshen up in many places, and may strengthen in the southwest. The minimum temperature will generally be between minus 6 and 0 degrees Celsius, but it may be much colder in areas covered with snow. The maximum is likely to be between 4 and 11 degrees Celsius, but it may be several degrees colder in the wider area of the Northern Central Mountains.
