The Advent Soul Garden is taking shape in the Memorial Garden (Emlékkert) in Debrecen, offering a space for gatherings, reflection, and the revival of the live nativity tradition. It will be open to visitors from December 1, 2024, to January 6, 2025.
The first decorations of the Advent Soul Garden include small Christmas trees, decorated by representatives of 30 organizations from the Debrecen Charitable Organization. During the press event, Edit Bódor, president of the Debrecen Charitable Organization, expressed hopes that this event would become an annual tradition.
The event is made possible by various local institutions, including the Angel Village Foundation, the Csokonai National Theater, and Debrecen’s main Reformed Church, among others. The “Pass It On!” donation house will also be a hub for collecting contributions for several charitable organizations.
