Success in Southeast Asia requires understanding and collaboration

Local News

Success in Southeast Asia is not about quick profits, but about understanding and cooperation.

Heru Dewanto, Vice President of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized at the MCC Debrecen center that knowing local cultural nuances, finding a reliable partner, and committing for the long term are essential for success. Indonesia and the ASEAN economic system operate differently from European models.

There is strong demand for innovative solutions in energy supply, water management, waste processing, and smart technologies. However, regulatory hurdles and neglecting cultural differences can easily lead to failure.

Indonesia is not just a market—it is an ecosystem with its own logic. Those who want to succeed here must adapt and think long-term, building relationships with trusted partners.

The event was organized by MCC Debrecen.
