A body was recovered from the Vezér Street water reservoir in Debrecen on Sunday evening. According to information from haon.hu, the body of a woman was found in the water.
Police officers, paramedics and firefighters arrived at the scene, and the area was closed off for the duration of the investigation.
According to the Hajdú-Bihar County Disaster Management Directorate, firefighters were alerted after a body was spotted floating in the water. One of the firefighters swam out to the body and then pulled it to shore using a stretcher.
Officers from the Debrecen Police Department investigated the circumstances as part of an administrative procedure. According to police, there is no suspicion of foul play.
