Hungarian politician József Torgyán died at the age of 85.The politician’s family reported to MTI that József Torgyán had passed away on Sunday (22nd of January) in his home surrounded by his family members.
József Torgyán was born in 1932 in Mátészalka (Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county) and later he attended Könyves Kálmán and Wagner Manó Secondary Schools in Budapest. He graduated at the faculty of law in 1955 and started his career as a politician in 1956.
Between 1998 and 2001 József Torgyán was the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Ripost magazine reported last year that the politician had a heart desease.
