49. Blue Ribbon Yacht Race was organized last weekend at Lake Balaton.Teachers and two DEAC teams of the University of Debrecen took part at the famous Blue Ribbon Yacht Race last weekend at Lake Balaton.
In Yardstick I/2 Fleet class PYXIS team from the University of Debrecen got the 46th place of the 49. Blue Ribbon Yacht Race. Team members were Miklós Bakos, Károly Bakos, Imre Heim, Kornél Jakab and Sándor Zoltán Kovács.
Pandora team – also from Debrecen – got the 53rd place at the race in Yardstick I/2 Fleet class. Team members were István Péter Pálfi, Levente Mauks, Géza Vitályos, Tamás Serbán, Miklós Szokol, Balázs Gergely Balogh and Zoltán Karácsonyi.
The team of László Stündl (Faculty of Agriculture) got the 19th place in Yardstick III/1 Fleet class, while in Nau 370 Fleet class László Bognár (head of the Neurosurgery Clinic in Debrecen) and his team got the 5th place.
Farkas Litkey and his catamaran won the 49th Blue Ribbon Yacht Race. He got around the lake in 10 hours 5 minutes and 17 seconds.
