At Easter, the Hungarian Falconer Association and the Bird Hospital Foundation signed a co-operation agreement with the aim of strengthening wild bird rescue.Falconers have a great history in our country. One of the most important tasks of the Hungarian Falconer Association is the protection of interests of falconers in hunting and nature conservation issues.
The Hungarian Falconer Association is a member of the International Association for Falconry and Conservation of Bird of Prey (IAF) and C.I.C. Bird of Prey Team. Members of the association are actively involved in the domestic bird of prey protection. They support and encourage the historical research of falconry as part of the Hungarian culture, as well as the presentation of falconer handicrafts and artworks.
Thanks to the co-operation the falconers are going to acknowledge the bird-saving, healing, preventive, animal protection, nature conversation and educational activities of the Bird Hospital Foundation, agreeing with its concepts and methods and taking into consideration the opinions of its experts on these topics.
Members of the Hungarian Falconer Association are going to co-operate with the Bird Hospital Foundation, especially in issues regarding predatory birds and bird rescue.
The co-operation agreement was signed by dr. János Déri (Bird Hospital Foundation) and by István Prágay (Hungarian Falconer Association). After signing the co-operation agreement, they released two buzzards healed from injuries.
