Bacterium Found in Mineral Water: Lidl Recalls Products

Lidl supermarket recalled Lupilu mineral water on the 7th of June because the product may contain Pseudomonas bacterium.Pseudomonas bacterium was identified in one of Lidl’s products, so they recalled all the 1L Lupilu non-carbonated mineral water products with the expiration date of 27.03.2019.

Many species of Pseudomonas bacteria live on our planet, they are very common bacteria, found in soil, water and skin. It is capable of infecting damaged tissues and the weakened immune system. It can cause inflammation, rash, burns and septicemia, urethra in ears, or even severe pneumonia. The infection can be treated with antibiotics.
