On the 10th of September, the National Institute of Pharmacy and Nutrition (OGYÉI) announced that one type of Calcium-Sandoz effervescent tablets – suspended in May – would be withdrawn from circulation.On the following day, OGYÉI announced that they would continue the laboratory tests and until the end of these tests, their decision about the tablet’s suspension (18th May 2018) was in force.
On the 17th of September, a new decision was issued by the pharmaceutical institute, according to which all Calcium-Sandoz effervescent tablets should be withdrawn from circulation because they might be contaminated.
