According to the Hungarian Meteorology Service, record breaking warm weather was reported on 2 November 2018.
The highest temperature was 24,8 Celsius degrees on 2 November in Mezőgyán, Békés County. Earlier, the record was 23,2 Celsius degrees in 1928 in Ásotthalom.
The lowest temperature hit 16,7 Celsius degrees in Lökösháza, Békés County, while in 1968, it was 13,8 Celsius degrees in Pannonhalma and Siófok.
Weather forecasts say that warm weather stays for a few days; the highest temperatures will be around 20 Celsius degrees.
