Yesterday, another huge storm hit several counties of Hungary.
On Sunday afternoon (28th of July), another heavy thunderstorm has reached many of Hungary’s towns and villages. The heaviest storms hit Hajdú-Bihar, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, Békés, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok and Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén counties. In Létavértes (Hajdú-Bihar county), a lightning struck a building, where animals were kept, setting the roof on fire and killing at least 30 pigs.
As the hot summer weather and also the rainfalls are going to stay with us during the next few days, thunderstorms can appear in many places of the country. According to the weather forecast, we can expect sunshine and calm weather without storms only at the weekend.
