Turkic Council foreign ministers will arrive in Hungary for a meeting before the opening of their European representation in Budapest, the foreign ministry said on Monday. This is the first time that the council’s foreign ministers will be meeting in a country besides one of their own.
In 2018, Hungary secured observer status at the 6th summit of the Cooperation Council of the Turkish-Speaking States, whose Secretary-General, Baghdad Amreyev, was welcomed on Monday by Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.
The council comprising Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, will open its European representation in Budapest on Sept. 19 in the presence of the foreign ministers of all four member states.
