Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received the diocese leaders of the Hungarian Greek Catholic Church in his office in Budapest’s Castle District on Friday, the PM’s press chief said. Orbán and the church leaders discussed possibilities for cooperation between the government and the Hungarian Greek Catholic Church, Bertalan Havasi said.
The diocese leaders also presented the prime minister with a lantern carrying the Bethlehem Flame of Peace before performing a song of worship. The meeting was also attended by Deputy PM Zsolt Semjén, head of the co-ruling Christian Democratic Party.
