Fully 115 patients, generally elderly with an underlying condition, died over the past 24 hours, and 2,696 new coronavirus infections were officially registered, while one million people have received at least their first jab, koronavirus.gov.hu said.
The number of infections has risen to 468,713, while the death toll has increased to 15,988. The number of recoveries stands at 336,744. There are 115,981 active infections, while hospitals are caring for 7,924 Covid patients, 806 of whom are on ventilators. Fully 37,343 people are in official home quarantine, while the number of tests carried out has increased to 3,874,513. Most infections have been registered in Budapest (88,326) and Pest County (61,305), followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (26,909), Győr-Moson-Sopron (26,843) and Hajdú-Bihar counties (25,884). The county least affected by the infection is Tolna (10,486).
