Fidesz will submit next week an anti-paedophile package of bills to parliament on protections for children and stricter punishments for paedophiles, the Fidesz group leader said.
Máté Kocsis said proposed measures included a searchable register of those who have committed sexual offenses against children with a view to preventing paedophiles from getting close to children. “It really worries us parents when we hear about paedophile crimes on the news,” he wrote on Facebook. Also, it was not right, he added, that children had access to online content inappropriate for their age. The Fidesz politician, furthermore, said that paedophiles were often punished too lightly.
