Thirty-six Covid patients died, and another 3,125 new infections were found in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu reported on Wednesday.
They added that 5,943,832 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, 5,724,539 of them have received the second dose and 1,141,000 have already received the third dose of the vaccine. The portal wrote that the number of infected people in Hungary increased to 855,339. 30,647 people died and the number of people recovered rose to 796,435. The number of active infections is 28,257.
Hospital treat 1,798 coronavirus patients, 197 of whom are on ventilators.
There are 19,379 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples is 7,320,374. As it has been written, new diseases are caused by the delta variant, the most at risk are the unvaccinated, so they are asked to register and take the vaccine as soon as possible. They added that less than one percent of vaccinees get sick, and the course of the disease is usually much milder. The majority of the Hungarian population has registered for the vaccination and has already taken it, who has not yet can still do so on the website www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu.
After registration, it is possible to book an appointment at the GP and on the Internet at www.eeszt.gov.hu.
In the appointment book, all those with a valid registration can also book an appointment for the first, missed second and third vaccinations – they highlighted.
According to the map of the site, most people have been registered so far in Budapest (154,233) and Pest County (119,073). It is followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (50,525), Győr-Moson-Sopron (46,115) and Hajdú-Bihar county (45,059). The county least affected by the infection is still Tolna, with 18,262 infected.
