In order to further increase vaccination and curb the epidemic, the government will hold a vaccination action week at hospital vaccination points between November 22 and 28 – koronavirus.gov.hu said.
Hospitals all over the country – especially in Budapest – are waiting for those who have not been vaccinated, and even those who want to take the second or third vaccination, with increased vaccination capacity and no appointment. From Monday, Nov. 22, to Sunday, Nov. 28, 101 county and city hospitals will be waiting for those who want to be vaccinated between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., they wrote.
For those who have already registered on the website www.eeszt.gov.hu, they still recommend the appointment, whether they want to take their first, missed second or third vaccination.
However, you can arrive for the vaccine that week without an appointment. In this case, vaccination is performed in the order of arrival. During the vaccination action week, those unvaccinated people who have not yet registered on the website www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu can go to the hospital vaccination points, they will be registered on the spot by filling in a form.
There are five types of vaccines available at hospital vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Janssen, and Sinopharm.
Larger employers who require their employees to be vaccinated may also request vaccines from county vaccination teams; the required quantity is made available to the occupational physicians.
The communication drew attention to the fact that during the vaccination action week, those who want to take their third vaccination can also arrive at hospital vaccination points without an appointment. Everyone who has been 18 years old and has been more than 4 months since their last vaccination is recommended to take the third vaccine – they wrote.
The most important thing is for the unvaccinated to take the vaccine as soon as possible because the now-spreading delta virus mutant can cause them the most dangerous, serious disease, they stressed. Less than one percent of those vaccinated get sick, while that number is ten times higher than those vaccinated, according to experts. Of course, the first vaccination can be taken before and after the vaccination action week – they added.
