In recent days, 300 Nigerian, 208 Chinese and 190 Ecuadorian citizens have been able to return to Hungary with Hungarian assistance, which means that we have helped 8,813 citizens from 12 nations return with a total of 51 relief flights, Péter Szijjártó wrote on his official website on Sunday.
In his post on Facebook, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office recalled that the war was in its third week, but there were still hundreds of foreign students and workers leaving Ukraine trying to get home.
As he wrote, the biggest humanitarian action in the history of our country is taking place. “In cooperation with the Ecumenical Relief Organization, we launched new missions to Ukraine this week, which managed to deliver the donation of the National Ambulance Service to the Beregszász Hospital and delivered a total of 70 tons of durable food and hygiene packages to Transcarpathia.”
