Because of the outbreak of war in our neighborhood, a reduced-test with of the public alarm system was carried out a month ago, but a full test will be carried out with MoLaR on Monday morning.
The Ministry of the Interior operates a meteorological and chemical monitoring and public alarm system based on a nationwide, high-availability, redundant data transmission network. In order to maintain and check continuous operational safety, a technical test will be performed on the system from time to time, as will the Monday morning test.
The MoLaRi system was built in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Csongrád-Csanád, Fejér, Hajdú-Bihar, Heves, Komárom-Esztergom, Pest, Tolna, Vas, Veszprém, Zala counties and Budapest, during which 667 public alarm information 419 monitoring endpoints were installed.
A public (full) test of the public alarm system will start at these locations at 11 a.m., the National Directorate General for Disaster Management said. According to the original schedule, this would have happened on March 7th, but then it was delayed due to the Russian-Ukrainian war situation. The next loud rehearsal is scheduled for September, now experts will make up for the March delay.
