The National Meteorological Service issued a second-degree warning for Friday due to the danger of heat.
A second degree weather alert is in effect in Budapest, Pest, Bács-Kiskun, Békés, Csongrád-Csanád, Fejér, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok and Tolna counties, while Baranya, Hajdú-Bihar, Heves, Komárom-Esztergom, Nógrád, and in the counties of Somogy and Veszprém, a first-degree warning has been issued due to the danger of heat.
It was highlighted: on Friday, the average daily temperature in the greater part of the country will be around 25 degrees Celsius, in the central counties and the Southern Great Plain, around 27 degrees Celsius.
According to the forecast, the maximum will be between 32 and 36 degrees. By late evening, the temperature will drop to between 22 and 27 degrees.
Attention was also drawn to the possibility of thunderstorms in the second half of the day. It is more likely to develop in the eastern and southeastern counties, as well as in the northwest and in the region of the Northern Central Mountains, but it is not completely excluded elsewhere.
Due to the threat of thunderstorms, the meteorological service issued a first-level warning for Bács-Kiskun, Békés, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Csongrád-Csanád, Győr-Moson-Sopron, Hajdú-Bihar, Heves, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Nógrád and Vas counties for Friday.
