On the initiative of the opposition, an extraordinary session of the Parliament was called for Monday in the case of the battery factories.
According to the proposed agenda, which can be read on the parliamentary website, the meeting will begin at four o’clock in the afternoon with speeches before the agenda.
If the meeting has a quorum and the representatives accept the agenda, interpellations, and questions will be heard for three hours.
Three opposition motions can then be discussed: the LMP’s resolution proposal on social participation in decisions on the establishment of plants and facilities dealing with battery production; the SC’s motion to amend the rules necessary to restore the municipality’s construction authority; and the MSZP’s initiative to review the strategic partnership agreements concluded by the government in order to protect employees.
In order to convene the extraordinary meeting, the signature of one-fifth of the representatives was required, which was provided by representatives of DK, Momentum, MSZP, Jobbik, and Párbeszéd in addition to the initiator LMP.
