Ningbo Zhenyu Technology will establish a factory in Debrecen with an investment of 65.9 million dollars (about 23 billion forints) in which precision components used in electric car batteries will be produced, Portfolio reports with reference to MarketLine.
The news has not yet been announced. Portfolio adds: Ningbo Zhenyu Technology is a China-based manufacturer of laminating inks and high-precision machining equipment. According to the latest announcement, the Debrecen factory will produce precision structural components used in electric car batteries and will allow the company to better serve its European customers.
The new location is expected to start operating at the end of 2027. China Eastern Airlines announced in mid-June that it has launched a direct flight between the eastern Chinese city of Ningbo and Budapest, where Ningbo Zhenyu Technology is headquartered. This year it was revealed that after CATL, Eve Power is also building a battery factory in Debrecen. The approximately HUF 400 billion investment will be the company’s first European plant.
