On Thursday, subtropical air waves will arrive over the country, and on Friday, the daily national maximum temperature record will almost certainly be broken, and there is even a significant chance that the peak value – in an unprecedented way in the second half of October – will reach or even exceed 30 degrees Celsius, said the On the Facebook page of the National Meteorological Service.
They wrote: on the front side of the pronounced cyclone in Western Europe, the warm air mass of African origin falls into the Central European region with a southerly and southwesterly flow, with extraordinary intensity, which even reaches the southern part of the Germanic-Polish lowlands. The effect of the cold, arctic air flooding the northern and northeastern countries of Europe promises to be weak, contrary to last weekend’s calculations, not only will it not affect the weather in Central Europe at all, but by the end of the week it will be pushed back to the peripheral areas of the mainland, they added.
According to the forecast, the strong inflow of subtropical air waves will begin on Thursday, and the heat will peak on Friday, at which time the national daily maximum temperature record of 26.9 degrees, which was measured in Adony in 2019, will almost certainly be broken – they wrote, adding that there is a significant chance that the peak value – in an unprecedented way in the second half of October – reaches or even exceeds 30 degrees.
It was written that the cold front of the strong cyclone – accompanied by rain, showers, and possibly thunderstorms – will pass over the country on Saturday and drop the temperature by several degrees, but even so, the weather may remain much warmer than usual at this time.
