Aurora Borealis Was Visible in Hungary Again

National

Yesterday, after sunset, we could observe the aurora borealis again in several parts of our country, Időkép reported.

The solar wind that caused the aurora borealis caused a geomagnetic storm stronger than predicted, which caused the aurora borealis to appear on 3rd March, in the north, in cloudless areas, around 7:00 p.m. The phenomenon was observed in Hungary for the first time this year, and it was recorded by Időkép’s three webcams – the ones in Doba, Fonyód and Predikálószék.

In November last year, the aurora borealis could be observed in almost the entire territory of Hungary.
