The police caught nine people and took another thirty-eight to various police stations in Hajdú-Bihar County yesterday.
Five perpetrators were caught in the act of committing crimes and four others were taken into custody on the basis of warrants for arrest issued by the court of Debrecen. Six people were taken to police stations as suspects.
There was one traffic accident that resulted in minor injuries.
A 27 year old man was caught stealing a dozen pair of shoes in a sports store in Debrecen. The perpetrator was caught in the act by the security guard. As he warned the 27 year old man to put his bag down, the perpetrator ran away. Later Sándor R. was caught by the police. He was taken to the police station where a procedure was initiated against him on reasonable suspicion of theft.
