The police caught five people and took another nineteen to various police stations in Hajdú-Bihar County yesterday.
Two perpetrators were caught in the act of committing crimes and another three were taken into custody on the basis of warrants for arrest issued by the court of Debrecen. Five people were taken to police stations as suspects.
There was one traffic accident that resulted in serious injuries.
A 39 year old man was caught stealing food in a supermarket in Debrecen; he hid yoghurts and cookies to his bag. After the security guards notified the police, the local resident was taken to the police station where a procedure was initiated against him on reasonable suspicion of theft.
