A couple robbed old people in Debrecen; they were pretending to be antique dealers.
A woman called the police on 28 July that a man and a woman went to her home saying that they wanted to buy antiquities. The woman let them in and showed them her antique furniture and jewelry. After the victim and the unknown visitors have signed a contract, the woman changed her mind and asked her belongings back. The couple did not give her back her jewelry but left quickly.
After an investigation it turned out that the “antique dealers” have also robbed an 87-year-old man and they went to another woman’s house.
Detectives have identified the perpetrators; Bernadett D. and József K. were taken to the Debrecen police station where procedures were initiated against them on reasonable suspicion of robbery.
