23-year-old man taken to the police station for robbing another man

A 23-year-old man was taken to the Debrecen police station for taking away another man’s mobile phone.

According to the available information, a 23-year-old man and another man started to argue at the junction of Szepsségi Utca and Simonffy Utca, Debrecen on 16 April 2016. The argument was started because according to the 23-year-old man, the other one owed him 5.000 Forints. The suspect, András R. pushed his victim to the wall and looked through his bag and purse, and finally he took away his mobile phone.

Local residents, who witnessed the incident, called the police. After the call, the police went to crime scene and managed to catch the perpetrator.

András R. was taken to the Debrecen police station, where a procedure was initiated against him on reasonable suspicion of vigilantism.
