Customs officers confiscated 900 packs of cigarettes, which were found in a Czech vehicle in Ártánd.
Officers of the National Tax and Customs Administration checked a vehicle that was coming from Moldavia at the Ártánd border crossing point on 25 February 2019. Besides an x-ray system, the vehicle and its trailer were also checked by Gitta, the customs dog.
Customs officers have found 900 packs of cigarettes; the driver could not show any legal documents on them, so the officers have confiscated all of it.
The driver was taken to the police station, where he said that he wanted to sell the cigarettes in Germany.
A procedure was initiated against the man on reasonable suspicion of fraud.
