Three teenage girls stole 5 million Forints and wanted to spend hundreds of thousands of it in a local supermarket.
The police were called by a security guard on 29 May 2019 that three young girls spent a huge amount of money in a Debrecen supermarket; they purchased clothes, cosmetics and mobile phones. The police went to the scene and asked the girls to identify themselves. After the identification, officers asked them, how did they have so much money.
The 13-, 14- and 15-year-old girls told the officers that they brought the 5 million Forints from one of their acquaintances who lives in Berettyóújfalu.
According to the available information, after the girls had stolen the money from the 47-year-old victim, they went to Debrecen by bus and booked a hotel room. The next day, they started to spend the 5 million.
The three teenagers were taken to the police station, where procedures were initiated against them on reasonable suspicion of theft.
