The Investigation Department of the Berettyóújfalu Police Headquarters prosecuted a resident of Sátoraljaújhely for a well-founded suspicion of committing a serious attempt of bodily harm. According to the investigation, the suspect attacked a 54-year-old man on June 15, 2020, at about 9:30 a.m. in Dózsa György Street, Berettyóújfalu. The victim fell to the ground and lost consciousness.
Following the report, patrols went to the scene and apprehended the alleged perpetrator, and called the ambulance for the injured victim. The 20-year-old man was brought to the police station, where investigators interrogated him as a suspect. He made a confession.
The authority took the necessary procedural steps and sent the resulting documents to the competent prosecutor’s office.
