The Berettyóújfalu Police Headquarters has completed its investigation into the case. The young boy must be held liable for the arbitrary removal of a vehicle.All the way to the embankment of the Berettyó River, the 16-year-old who took his car parked on Kona’s Street on reasonable suspicion was taken by car. According to the investigation, the boy was with his uncle on December 8, 2020, when he took the car key from a hanger and then drove it away with the owner’s knowledge and permission.
The local resident reached a nearby bridge, wanted to turn here, but the vehicle slipped and the car stopped. Unfortunately, the engine compartment began to smoke and then caught fire, so the boy – in fright – went home on foot and then told his relative what had happened. The victim only reported the flaming car to the police. Officers arrested the alleged perpetrator, then interrogated him on the basis of a well-founded suspicion of committing a crime of arbitrary seizure of a vehicle. He made a confession.
The Berettyóújfalu Police Headquarters carried out the necessary procedural steps during the investigation phase of the case and handed over the documents to the prosecutor’s office.
