A truck of Moldavian origin applied for entry at Ártánd Road Border Crossing on 13 April 2021 at around 4 pm, in the hold of which 12 people were hiding. The men identified themselves to border guards as Afghan citizens. None of the absconded persons had the documents necessary for crossing the border, and they could not provide credible proof of the legality of their stay in Hungary, so they could not enter the territory of the country. The Romanian authorities initiated proceedings against them.
