The Hajdúhadháza Police Headquarters prosecuted two men for a well-founded suspicion of committing an arbitrary seizure of a vehicle at the Vámospércsi Police Station. According to the investigation, the suspects found an open car on Kossuth Street in Újlét on the night of January 21, 2021.
One of the men entered the ignition key into the property and took it with him. They started the car parked on the street and then went all the way to Vámospércs, where they drove into a pylon. As the wheel of the vehicle broke out, they left it behind and fled the scene on foot.
Following the report, police collected data, which resulted in the identification of the two residents of Újlet on the same day. Both men were caught and then questioned as suspects. They made a confession.
The police officers in Várspércs performed the necessary procedural acts and sent the resulting documents to the competent prosecutor’s office.
