A report was received by the police around 28:00 on 28 May 2021 that a car had been driven into a ditch and had fallen to the top between Nyírábrány and Nyíracsád. The officers immediately went to the scene where three men were found in the car. An alcohol probe was used against the driver, which was positive, so further sampling was provided.
In a car accident, the driver and one passenger of the vehicle were lightly injured while the other passenger was seriously injured. Based on the on-site inspection, the man was driving too fast, losing control of the vehicle, drifting off the road, and overturning.
The 33-year-old Nyírábrány man was interrogated on the basis of a well-founded suspicion of a criminal offense of driving while intoxicated while causing serious bodily harm, during which he testified.
The police took the necessary procedural steps and sent the resulting documents to the competent prosecutor’s office.
