The police received a report on December 4, 2021, around 9 pm that someone in Berettyóújfalu had driven into a pylon. The uniformers immediately went to the scene, but only the cool spot of the driver in the car was found. There was not much to look for in the young man, he was walking down a street from the accident when the police stopped him and started to certify him.
It soon became clear why he felt the need to leave the smashed car behind. He never had a license, drank before he was behind the wheel, and if that wasn’t enough, he tied the car out of the gate of a property before the accident.
As it turned out, the 24-year-old missed the bus and then decided to go home on foot. Along the way, he noticed a car parked in front of a property that was open and also found the ignition key in it. After a short hesitation, he started with the car, but he didn’t get far, he drove into a pylon.
The patrols took the man to the police station, where he was interrogated as a suspect on the basis of a well-founded suspicion of committing an arbitrary seizure of a vehicle and was taken into custody for committing an unauthorized driving offense.
