The Criminal Department of the Hajdúböszörmény Police Headquarters has initiated proceedings against a local resident for a well-founded suspicion of committing a robbery. According to the investigation, the suspect entered the property in Hajdúböszörmény on the afternoon of April 17, 2022, where he demanded money from the man living there.
The young man then threatened the victim, took a cell phone and a few thousand forints from him, and fled the scene. No personal injury occurred during the commission of the crime.
Police conducted an extensive data collection after the report and identified the alleged perpetrator that afternoon. The 15-year-old was brought to the police station, where he was interrogated as a suspect, taken into criminal custody, and made a motion to arrest him. The proceedings also revealed that the suspect had hidden the phone in a drainage ditch.
Investigators found the device, which was seized and returned to the victim.
