The Debrecen District Prosecutor’s Office brought charges against the driver who slipped on the icy road and drove into the ditch for the careless cause of a road accident.
According to the indictment, on December 25, 2021, at 7:25 p.m. There were 3 more adults and 3 children in the vehicle, all wearing seat belts while the children traveled in a child safety seat.
On the road, the maximum speed allowed was 90 km / h, the man was traveling at about 50 km / h and then determined to overtake the cars in front of him. The perpetrator switched to the left lane when overtaking, however, he did not choose the speed of the car according to the weather, visibility, and road conditions, so he lost control of the car, slipped, and then stopped on the wheels when turning over the ditch.
It was only a coincidence that only one child was injured and his arm was broken.
As a result of the offending conduct of the accused TRAFFIC, the accident occurred and the child was injured.
